Srirangam S. Prasanna Venkatesh, Carnatic Vocalist, Vainika, Composer and lyricist is a disciple of Sangitha Kalanidhi Madurai Sri T.N. SeshaGopalan and Sri T.V. Ramanujacharlu, violinist, AIR Tiruchirapalli. He is a graded Carnatic Vocalist in All India Radio, Prasar Bharati. He is trained to play on the Veena by Late Sri B. Sivakumar, Veena artiste, AIR Trichy. Prasanna has won awards from esteemed organizations such as Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Tiruchirapalli and Shri Krishna Gana sabha, Chennai to name a few. He was also awarded a scholarship for advanced music learning by the Government of India in the year 1995 – 1997. Prasanna has performed widely in the US and also teaches music to select students. His students have won prizes in several competitions conducted by Cleveland Aradhana, CMANA, Carnatic music idol etc and are also regular performers on stage.
